Harold Robertson says: I recently repainted my 1960 Thunderbird in Laser Red and re-did the upholstery. I am in the process of rebuilding the suspension and engine. I hope to have a "new" car soon! The car has been in and out of my family since about 1963 when my parents purchased it from an estate in San Gabriel, California. They drove it for many years, then gave it to me about 20 or 25 years ago, Like a fool, I sold it almost immediately! I did keep track of it, it went through 2 more owners; I kept bugging the last one to buy it back. He finally gave in about 7 years ago, when I was able to buy it back for a lot more than I sold it for {and in worsecondition}. I have been restoring it ever since as a sort of memorial to my folks. It has won several trophys at local parades and car shows, and will continue to show it and work on it the rest of my life; my youngest son wants it someday, so I hope it will remain in the family for a long time. UPDATE October 2013, Harold reports to the Registry that he still owns this Thunderbird. He says: "...still winning once in a while. The car is completed now and looks very nice if I do say so myself! I drive it on nice days and it always gets compliments!! "
