Former owner John Whalen says: This is my 2nd '60 T-Bird. My first was only 7 years old, and was the first car I bought after being discharged from the USMC in '67. That one was brown, in nice shape, but I didn't have an appreciation for it at the time. The one I just bought last October looks like it has been a "project " car a couple of times, but is sound in body. The mechanics needed some work, and most of the seals were dried out, so I believe it sat for quite a while, although that wasn't the story. But the car and I seem to have "bonded" (no, bondED, not bondOED!) and I'm still doing odds and ends to make it a solid driver in excellent, running, but not show, condition. When I bought mine, my brother, who was 10 years old when I bought my first one, but remembered it very well, caught the bug and recently bought a custom '60 2 door hardtop converted to a roadster, and is working on it to make it, like mine, a head turning well running driver. - - - - - UPDATE March 2016, Joseph Dudek owns this Thunderbird. It was seen at the Buffalo Motorama. (picture added) UPDATE August 2016 it was seen at the Buffalo Thunderbird Club show in Williamsville, New York. UPDATE September 2017 New York State DMV registration is current, Erie County.
