Kyle says: This Thunderbird had spent the majority of its life in New York. It has the original license plate holder in the front of the vehicle, indicating it had always been a New York car. Previous New York owners, Carol Weir and her husband Pete, purchased the car through a classified ad. The car had a repaint done sometime in the 1980's. During the 1990's, Carol and Pete took it for rides in local parades. Which included Carol's run for New York senate in 1992. The Weirs stopped using the car regularly in 2005. The Weirs decided to relocate to Gettysburg, PA, which forced the sale of the car due to loss of storage. A family friend of the Weirs kept the car at his house in New Paltz, NY and put the Thunderbird up for sale on Craigslist in early 2015. - - - - - - - - - - - - - Current owner, Kyle from Northeastern Pennsylvania, bought the car on May 23, 2015. The car's title had to be corrected when transferring the vehicle in 2015. The number seven was misprinted as a number one on the New York title. As of 2015, the car is now being driven on a more regular basis. Restoration in 2015 included; new radiator and expansion tank, new gas tank, carb and distributor rebuilds. Restoration in 2016 is proposed to include projects such as new door glass, new dash harness, new heater core, and repair of the wiper motor and hood.
