John Graham says: This 1960 Thunderbird Hardtop was bought new by a local couple. she loved the car- he hated it. 20 years ago he convinced her it wasn't safe to drive and parked it in one of their barns. When I was told about the car the farm had been sold and the car had to be moved. After evicting the packrat that was living in it, I brought it home on my trailer. One year later after all of the relatives had come to see the car and all prononced it junk I was offered the car. It seems that I was the only person besides her that loved the Thunderbird so she gave me the car as long as I would restore it. I now am finishing the mechanical work and preparing to strip the exterior in order to see what the metal looks like and get it ready for paint. The interior is ready to be installed after the paint so perhaps we will be ready to hit the road in 2004.
