Gregg Short says: I have owned my Thunderbird for 16 years. I bought it from the original owner in Illinois. It had been used in parades as a lead car (equipped with siren under the hood) because the original owner was a Mason. <p>The car is originally Raven Black (A) which has been repainted to new and the accent chrome has been replated with 24k gold. It has a black and white vinyl interior (56), Cruise-O-Matic, and power steering (no power brakes). It has a scheduled production date of August 31, 1960 (31H). The 352 has been changed out to a 390 with twin Holley carbs, racing cam, dual point Mallory ignition, with some chrome dress-up added. It has 62,000 actual miles on the odometer, with only 5,000 since the new engine was installed in 1992. It is a consistent show winner.
