Michel Lerecouvreux says: My 1960 Thunderbird Convertible is a rare care in France. It is in good condition and runs every week. This Thunderbird has a 352 low-compression V-8 engine (the G in the VIN).I've owned this car for just 1 year, but the way I got it is worth telling. Five years ago I was on vacation with my wife by the sea side. We drove there by motorcycle but my wife had a backache and so we had to hitchhike. A beautiful 1960 convertible Thunderbird took us and this was the start of my wanting a T-bird. I saw a few one that were on sale, but always expensive or (and often and) in a bad condition. Last year we saw on TV the driver of the T-bird that took us. His name and work were mentioned. We found him, but he had sold the car a few years ago. He gave us the name of the new owner, who had a car collection. This guy was looking for a Harley and fell in love with mine. So we started the negotiation... and we got the car that made us dream of when we were hitchhiking.
I think the car has been well-taken care of because the two former owners were conscientious mechanics. I still bring them the car for maintenance (I'm a doctor and my mechanics ability is low!).
