= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = On January 28, 2009, Ben Aronson of Marco Island FL notified the Registry that he owns this Thunderbird. He says: I bought the car from Larry Harris It had been sitting outdoors for about 2 years in the Florida climate & that took a toll on it The white top although a new replacement had shrunk & leaked & allowed the fairly new carpeting to deteriorate The car did not need a complete paint job but we did a subsantial amount of body metal work on the lower extremities along with some touch up here and there. A new trunk kit, new carpets and some upholstery work with a lot of elbow exercise put it it a real presentable condition. Mechaniclaly it is evident the engine & tranny had a recent rebuild We pulled the pans on both and they were pristine. A new high class exhaust system had been installed but we went bumper to bumper on a complete mechanical rebuild motor mounts front end, brakes. Lines. Heavy duty front and rear sway bars, radiator, fuel tank boilout power steering new starter etc., ..You name it we did it Even the air works. === ========= (August 2005) Thunderbird Registry note:This Thunderbird has a "not-recommended" color and trim combination. According to all print materials for 1960, trim 56 (black and white vinyl) was not available with color F (Skymist Blue). Ben sent a picture of the data plate verifying the codes.
