Ralph Voorhees says: My 1960 Thunderbird Convertible is an 18,386 mile original, and was sold new at Ward Ford in Newark, New Jersey. I purchase it over 25 years ago. It was sold new with a continental kit and is the lowest (or one of the lowest) mileage convertibles in the United States. It is Corinthian White (M) with a red leather interior (85) and a black top. I have all of the paper documentation since "Day 1". UPDATE June 2012, Dennis Dole reports it was sold at the RM Vintage of Motor Cars at Hershey Auction (Lot #278) for $57,200 in October 2007. (picture added) Ordered new from Ward Motors Ford Dealership of Newark, New Jersey, the Thunderbird still retains the original “New Car Delivery Order” dated from August 29th, 1960 as well as a Ward Motors chrome license plate frame affixed to the rear of the car, the original bill of sale dated from August 31st and the original Ward Motors receipt of purchase illustrating payment by check on September 1st, 1960.
