George Gorman says: This car has been in my family since new. I was with my father when he bought this car new in March 1961 from Fette Ford in New Jersey. He drove it until about 1983 and then passed it on to me, since it was beginning to need some work. I nursed it and drove it for several more years and then parked it - a big mistake! After years of being parked, I decided to evict the furry creatures that took up residence in it and started on restoring it. Pictures show the status. Most of the mechanicals have been rebuilt (engine, trans, rearend, etc.); all bits and pieces beadblasted and repainted; new ball joints, bushings etc. Most paint is done. Now working the interior and a few leftover mechanicals. I'm doing most of the restoration myself, so it's taking a while.<p>
It's an early coupe, built in November 1960. That means it has the early brake booster with vacuum can up front and several other pieces that wwre replaced later in '61. It has power seats and windows, but no optional SelectAire Conditioner, and no optional Swing-Away Steering Wheel.
