This 1961 Thunderbird Hardtop has a 390 V-8 engine, power windows, power seat and fender shields. As of May, 2013 it was for sale on ebay and located in Crumpler, North Carolina. UPDATE May 2015, Steve Tunney notified the Registry that he owns this Thunderbird. He says: I bought this car at the January 2015 Mecum Auction in Kissimmee, Fl. It is a 2 door hardtop finished in Diamond Blue. It has the swing away steering wheel, an AM radio, power windows, PS, PB. I believe it came form the Greensboro , NC area but I know nothing about its history. Mecum says it was recently painted and had a new interior. Both are nice so that is likely true. I did a tune up and it is running well. I have found some pitted chrome that I am working on replacing slowly. Many of these parts are small so I am looking for cores to re-plate. I will gather what I can and get them done together. Its a nice driver and goes to shows as is weekly.
