Marko Aalto says that he has seen this 1961 Thunderbird Hardtop in Finland. UPDATE May 2012, Janne Pälvimäki notified the Registry that he has owned this Thunderbird since October, 2011. He says it was shipped to Finland in the late 1980s or early 1990s. It has SelectAire Conditioner, power windows, and Swing-Away Steering Wheel. It has had a great deal of mechanical repair and restoration done as recently as 2011. It was painted aquamarine and white in 1995 when a professional body rebuild was done. Janne adds that his Thunderbird was sold new in San Jose, California in the summer of 1961. UPDATE, January 2016, new picture added. Janne sent the build sheet for his car, attached to it was a sheet for a 1961 Lincoln Continental that followed this Thunderbird on the assembly line. That Lincoln was a Sedan, dark blue, with blue leather interior, and was sent to the Memphis, Tennessee sales area. He says: I bought this Thunderbird from Mr. Janne Pälvimäki in 05/2016. Car is in quite good shape and drives OK. 20 years old paint needs some fixes and some new weatherstrips are needed too. It's my day-off cruiser and it will be driven only in sunny days.
