Our 1961 Thunderbird has become part of our car collection after our uncle passed away. He always wanted to own a classic Thunderbird and finally did about a year before his passing. Our family has purchased the car to honour his memory. We want to continue to show and enjoy the car as he did.
It has 81,000 miles on the odometer and is in extremely good original condition. Interior and exterior of the car have been maintained in original shape. The beige paint and interior are a combination that I had never seen on a Bullet Bird until I saw this car. The powertrain and chassis are as original as I have ever seen. Yellow top ignition coil and inspection tags and markings are evident throughout the car. The only thing that we are struggling with is the car's history. We know that it spent most of its time in the Pacific Northwest (Inspection tags from 1974 are still on the windscreen showing British Columbia). The couple that my uncle had purchased the car from were older and had owned the car for some time. They were in Toronto, Canada.
