Chris Osborne says: I purchased the '61 from the second owner in Jan 2010. The car was shipped to Utah from the factory and spent its entire life there until being shipped to Australia. The car is mostly original except for having a lower body only re-spray about 15 years ago. The color is Silver Grey matallic with Raven Black roof (original roof paint). Since purchasing, I have rebuilt the engine, transmission, suspension, steering components, brakes and differential. A compete new exhaust system was also installed along with new fuel tank and trunk trim. The engine bay was completely stripped and re-painted before the new engine was fitted. The only options are Magic Aire Heater, Swing Away Wheel, Radio, and SelectAire Conditioner. It doesn't have tinted glass which is unusual for a car with A/C and the ROT sheet found under the drivers seat confirms this. The car has no rust or rot and no accident damage or repairs are evident. Even the floor carpet is original. The speedo read 97,300 but this cannot be confirmed as the original milage. I zeroed the speedo when the engine was rebuilt and have done 570 miles since hitting the road in late March 2011. "Lucille" turned 50 years old on the 1st of June and is running stronger than ever and is admired wherever she goes. The photo is Lucille's first drive on Australian soil since her rebuild.
