Michael Banks says: I bought my 1961 Thunderbird Convertible from auto dealers of Stuart (Florida) in October of 2003. It now resides in McHenry, Illinois. The convertible top is black leather, The lower ball joints and idler arm have been replaced, brakes redone and the transmission rebuilt. Whomever originally did the restore cut some corners and did not fix or rebuild some parts of the car that should have been. There is no rust on the car and the car runs smoother and quieter than most of the newer cars that come off of the lot today. - - - - - - - -UPDATE June 2020, it is now for sale by Volo Auto Sales in Volo, Illinois and has 69,473 miles on its odometer.
