Brian Meister says: I found this 1962 Thunderbird Convertible on eBay and my father and I purchased it in July of 2003. Our first T-Bird was a white '62 hardtop that my father purchased in California in 1979. We still have that car and are currently re-restoring it but my father has always wanted a '62 converible, too. This car is Rangoon red with black vinyl interior and no options other than power windows. It is a mostly original, mostly rust-free early '62 convertible that has seen a lot of sights. This car travelled quite a bit during it's life. The car was originally delivered to California but made it's way to Hawaii where it supposedly spent most of its life. The previous owner also purchased it via eBay and had the car shipped from Hawaii back to California then across the country to New Hampshire.
The car now resides near Columbus, Ohio in my fathers pole barn where it awaits its turn to be restored to its former original glory.
