This is a 1963 Thunderbird Hardtop. The color is Silver Mink (G) and it has a silver blue vinyl interior (50). It was scheduled for production on October 9, 1962 (09L) and was ordered by a Ford dealer through the Washington, D.C. District Sales Office (26). It has a 3.10:1 rear axle ratio (2) which is very rare, and Cruise-O-Matic transmission (4). This Thunderbird was repainted in Rangoon Red in 2000. It was documented at that time by Don Kimrey of Kansas City, Missouri. The present status of RN 1847 is unknown. UPDATE February 2017, Angelo Loupetis reports it is for sale in Kansas City and has been completely restored, to a red finish with red interior. (picture updated) UPDATE February 2018, John Palumbo adds this information: This car and RN1777 were the last two cars to leave the Don Kimrey collection (they were discovered by a plumber under car covers in Don's basement!). This car is intact and restored as seen in the registry picture. It was flipped by a part-time dealer in Kansas City (I personally saw both cars in the dealer's garage). I don't know who the current owner is, but it was shipped to Oxnard, California.
