Arlyn and Sharon Toberor say: We first saw our 1963 Thunderbird Hardtop parked next to a motel in Bliss, Idaho, in 1989 in pretty sad shape. We bought it for $600, towed it about 85 miles home to Boise, Idaho, on a rented U-Haul trailer and began a complete restoration. In March of 1992, it came out of the paint shop and we started putting all the newly reupholstered interior back in and reattached rechromed bumpers and all the original trim pieces. A new trunk liner was installed, as well as a new headliner, engine decals, a set of new tires and wheels and it was ready for the road and car shows by July of 1992. It has a 390 cubic inch engine with 300 hp, automatic transmission, Swing-Away steering column, power windows, and SelectAire Conditioner. It is Rangoon Red with a white interior.
