Shawn Chervinskis says: This Thunderbird is a survivor with the classic "Elderly Couple's Car" story. It was bought new at Robert Poeschl Ford in Oxnard, California in 1963. I have the window sticker with seat belts penciled in as an add-on for $16.00. The Thunderbird made it to Dallas, Texas between 1963 and early 80's (not sure when). I was told that when the owner passed away the son drove the car until 1984 (tags confirm) and garaged it until 2002. The oil change sticker says in 1980 the car had 70,000 miles. I bought it in September, 2003 and it had just over 78,000 miles. The interior is immaculate and has never been restored. The clock is the only thing not working in this survivor.
Updates: Air conditioning conversion in May 2005., Engine rebuild in Summer of 2004, Paint and body restoration in Summer 2005, ShockWave adjustable air suspension in 2005, Interior still immaculate Fall 2005. UPDATE August 2012, it is for sale in Kyle, Texas. May 2014 it is for sale in Floresville, Texas. It has been lowered and has wide white wall tires. (new picture available on request)
