Don and Vicki Sitter say: Our Thunderbird is Corinthian White (M) with a dark blue vinyl interior (52). It has 76,100 miles and is virtually all original, straight, sound, and an anytime driver. This car has the original paint--yes original--verified at the factory in 2003 by the Plant Manager and Larry Fisher, Ford Zone Service Rep. All chrome, trim, carpet, trunk mat, dash pad and package tray are original. We found the build sheet under the driver's seat in 2004! Unbelievable. <[p>

Everything works! Even the clock and power windows. It has an AM/FM radio that works fine. The engine compartment HAS been cleaned up as the valve cover gaskets were still original when we bought it. I added an AM spare tire cover. The jack is still in the original plastic.

It has been garage kept for the last 39+ years and we are just the third family to own it. It was bought new by a Grand Rapids area tool and die salesman and purchased by the Schut family of Hudsonville, Michigan around 1969. They owned it until we bought it in 2002. Our Thunderbird was a part of the Ford Centennial display in 2004, The Dana Corp Centennial in 2004, two Wixom "Welcome Home" events and it one of two 2004 Gateway Cars for the 2004 Seniors TPC in Dearborn.

If you would like a genuine unrestored original, you would have to look a long time to find a better example. DS

Previous comments: It has been confirmed that my Thunderbird will be part of the Ford Centennial display. Thanks go to Tim Hickman #829 for helping me find the 'Bird AND putting me on to this site.
