Bruce Anderson says: I have had my 1963 Thunderbird since April 2001. I purchased it from a dealer in South Australia who had imported it from the U.S. for me. It is a clean car - ex-California in very good original condition; the body has no rust. This vehicle is only driven as a hobby car and was used as our wedding vehicle last year. It's been more reliable than my everyday driver. As much as I would like to drive it everyday - the world is full of stupid drivers and jealous people. I will have this car for many more enjoyable years to come. I've been meaning to register for a few years now and it's about time you guys knew there's one more out there that is still much loved by it's owner. Any info you can give me on the history of my car would be very valued and appreciated.
Thanks, Regards, B. Anderson, Wattle Grove, NSW, Australia. - - - - - - - - -UPDATE June 2018, Bruce writes: I have had this vehicle for almost 20 years now. It has been very well cared for and it is still in beautiful condition. It has outlasted 2 marriages and is currently being re restored. I am currently rebuilding the steering column, power steering gearbox, pump, front end and brake components. As I wrote back in 2005, it is a work in progress as these vehicles always are. They always require lots of TLC to keep them in good condition and fine running order. We are custodians of a piece of engineering beauty from a time when style was seemingly more important than it seems to be now. It is our responsibility to preserve such vehicles for the enjoyment of future enthusiasts.
