Bill D. says: This Thunderbird has been in my family in Binghamton, NY since sometime in the 70s. Prior to that it may have been in Iowa, as the bumper had Iowa AAA stickers on it. My father bought it and drove it for about 10 years. It was parked in 1984 when it started to have problems and it was kept around in our garage for 10 more years until it had to be moved and was taken to a shop to get the maintenance it needed. The shop never got around to it, so it sat outside for another 10 years. I have been working on it slowly since 2005, and as of May 2015 it is running/driving and starting into body and interior work. 78k miles. Many original parts remain, but the engine was replaced with a 1966 390 at some point. It came with power windows and fender skirts from the factory, and I believe those are the only two options.
