This is a 1963 Thunderbird Convertible. It is Chestnut (V) with a Chestnut vinyl interior (59). It was schedyuled for production on October 27, 1962 (27K) and ordered through the San Jose, California District Sales Office (72). It was sold new by West Valley Motor Sales in Santa Clara, California on November 5, 1962, and the cost was $5,601.60. According to William Wonder, who documented this car, in 1990 the current owner stated that he purchased it in 1972 for $50 and it had an 8,000 RPM Rotunda tachometer. In 1990 it was for sale for $10,000. As of January, 2003 its status was unknown. UPDATE July 2017 it is for sale in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. (picture added)
