Ken Browning says: I am just starting the restoration on my 1963 M-code Thunderbird Convertible. It appears that I am the 3rd owner and the last it was registered was in Nevada in 1973. It has been in a barn in Minnesota since 1973 and now resides in Alaska. The tri-power was removed in the late 1960's as the owner wanted a 2 bbl instead. The whole tri- power setup was in the trunk wrapped in plastic. It looks like new. This car is rust free but has had some body work on both sides. This a fairly heavily optioned car. It has SelectAire Conditioner, power windows, power seat, AM-FM radio with revervberator, red leather, Raven black paint and skirts. I haven't seen if the passenger seat is power yet because I have been unable to open that door thus far. The rod to the handle is apparently unhooked. The hydraulics for the top were disconnected when it was parked and the top has been down the entire 33 years. All that is left is some canvas rags showing that the top was white on the outside and black on the inside. I did find the remains of the build sheet in the springs of the back seat and it is fairly intact. I understand these M code cars came with the engine dress up kit. This one still has some of the chrome parts intact.
