In 1990, this car was documented by the Vintage Thunderbird Club International as being owned by Drew Stephens of Charleston, South Carolina. It was reported to have been repainted Rangoon Red and reupholstered with a red vinyl interior, but this is uncertain. The present status of RN 1871 is unknown.
