This 1963 Thunderbird Convertible was used in the Disney movie Flubber, starring Robin Williams. It has no engine or transmission but is equipped with the flubber-mechanism that made the car fly in the movie. It has SelectAire Conditioning, power windows, fender shields and a tonneau cover. It is one of 3 cars used for the movie and is the only one that is available to the public. As of September, 2004 it was for sale on ebay and located in Hollywood, California. + + + + + + UPDATE May 2012, Dennis Dole reports it was sold at the 2011 Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale auction (Lot 1268) for $88,000. From the '97 Walt Disney movie "FLUBBER" starring Robin Williams has since been customized by Mike Goldman Custom's, Inc. It received a complete rotisserie restoration featuring LS1 power, 4L60 transmission and a custom air intake engine panel under the hood. It sits on Air Ride Technoligies self leveling Ride Pro system with Wilwood 14" 6-piston brakes and 20" Dayton true knock-off wheels. Vintage Air heats and cools the Bird with the help of a custom cross flow radiator. The undercarriage features a 9" Ford rearend with 3.70 gears, polished stainless steel custom exhaust, magnaflow mufflers and all polished stainless steel lines. It is a freshly finished, 5-year restoration. The chrome and stainless steel moldings were restored while the body panels were massaged until flawless, followed by custom red basecoat/clearcoat paint. The interior is custom but done like the classic original look and a new tan German hartz cloth convertible top was installed. - - - - - - - - - - - - UPDATE March 2017, Angelo Loupetis reports it is for sale by Streetside Classics in Florida.
