The Special Landau Numbers were often assigned out-of-sequence with regard to the Thunderbird VIN consecutive unit number. All 1963 Thunderbird Special Landaus have a color code of M for Corinthian White and a trim code of 83 for white leather. This Special Landau had a scheduled production date of February 28, 1963 (28B) and was ordered by a Ford dealer residing in the Davenport, Iowa District Sales Office Region (45). UPDATE December 2011, Cody Burch reports it was sold at TJ's American Hot Rods, 8130 240th St SW, Edmonds, Washington 98026. It has a black vinyl roof and is in excellent condition. (picture added)
