Ronald Jones says: My 1963 Thunderbird Special Landau (Principality of Monaco Edition) is number 1927 out of 2000 built. I purchased it June 16, 2000 in Florida. The carpet and door trim are Rose Beige; the dash panels are Rosewood. The steering wheel and balance of the interior are white. The exterior is Corinthian White with a Rose Beige vinyl roof (it looks reddish brown). It had 64,499 miles on the odometer when I purchased it. I had the heads milled, the valves replaced, and the valve seats hardened - this was the only work the engine needed. Ron also adds that all side glass is dated Jan and Feb 1963. The back glass date is Dec 1962. The windshield has been replaced for the date on this is PPG Sunshade Solex - Duplate Laminated Safety Plate Oct. 1964. + + + + +SPEEDVISION filmed my Thunderbird in the spring of 2001 and was released for TV July 2001. The TV show was American Muscle Cars and is a half hour production dedicated to Thunderbirds,1955 to present. My T-bird (only 63 Hardtop filmed) was featured 3 times on this program. When I got this T-bird I had a list of 118 items that needed attention, (Jan 2005) I'm down to 9. I enjoy. - - - - - - - UPDATE September 2015, Michelle Eckels says: My dad passed away in June and I am now in possession of his Thunderbird. He had 118 items of attention, and had 5 remaining before he passed away. I am carrying on with trying to finish these items, and at the same time learning a lot about Thunderbirds. This is a labor of love, and as he did, I'm having fun with doing so.
