NOTE: Data plate has "M" for TRANS code * * * This is a 1963 Thunderbird Sports Roadster. According to William Wonder, it was sold new by Twin County Motor Sales in Galax, Virginia on September 29, 1962. UPDATE September 9, 2011: Cody Burch reports that this 1963 Thunderbird Sports Roadster is alive and well, for sale at Russo and Steele auctions of Monterey, California. There is some history with the car including the fact that it had been in Virginia Beach, Virginia before it ended up in a junk yard in Fontana, California. It has since been properly restored and has been owned by its present owner since 1990. UPDATE Bill Clark says: since June 2011 I am the current owner of this car and wanted to update the registry. I purchased the car on the west coast from Mr Ron Spindler in 2011 and brought it back to Maryland. The restoration has been extensively updated and is being shown throughout the country. It has achieved AACA senior status, VTCI senior status and ITC senior status. It will be in Moline, Illinois for the AACA grand nationals next week. UPDATE November 2014, it is for sale in Bel Air, Maryland. * * * * * UPDATE June 2023, it will be at the Barrett-Jackson Auction in Las Vegas, Nevada June 2023.
