Rick Solots says: My 1964 Thunderbird Hardtop was purchased NEW by Noma Barnett in Concord, California and then traded hands to a California car dealer and then it moved up to two more car dealers in the Klamath Falls, Oregon area in 1967; finally Roger Keely bought it from the Klamath Falls dealer in 1967, kept it a year and sold it to a Jimmy Hines in 1968, they kept it 6 months and sold it to Virgil Parks (Klamath Falls) in December 1968 - he must have liked the car as he kept it until 1979 when he passed away. Parks' wife, Agnes inherited it from him and transferred it into her name and kept it for 2 more years. - - - - - Agnes sold it to Glenn Terry (Klamath Falls) in 1981, Glenn must not have been impressed with the old 'bird as he sold it in December 1981 to Vintda Whitis (Keno, Oregon) she kept it until July 1982 and sold it to Carey Bailey in Klamath Falls. Carey sold it in February 1984 to Robert Williams in Klamath Falls, he in turn sold it in December 1985 to David Bentley who decided to paint the roof white, install Cadillac hubcaps on the studded snow tires and smear some body filler here and there on some small dents but never finish it. - - - - - David Bentley sold it to Rick Solots (me!) who always wanted a Thunderbird with the sequential tail lights - before you go telling me this year doesn't have them let me buy the car for only $500 bucks in December 1985, take it home, leave it running in the driveway and go run in the house and get my wife and take her to the rear of the car to show her the sexy tail lights only to find out they didn't work, so I proceeded to rip the car apart to find out why and then it hit me, NO Sequentials! Oh well it's still a cool car, I proceeded to load it up and move to Minnesota with it where I would work on it during the winter months, five years later and NO work done on the car.<p> I was headed south to Florida. Before I left I had the car repainted the original color Cascade Green and loaded it up and moved to Panama City where I put the car together in the parking lot on base while I looked for a house. I started showing the car almost every other week end and getting involved in VTCI and found out more about my car as the option list was short, spinner hub caps, cruise control and reclining passenger seat with head rest! I had some flaws in the body so I stripped the car down in 1990 after winning first place VTCI in Orlando, Florida in the driver class and finally painted it in September 2003 and started putting it back together September 2004, I guess this is where the saying "Quality is job one" and "Don't rush me" comes in! The car now resides in Gulfport, Mississippi
