Gary Tayman says: This car was rescued from the dead. It had previously been sitting in Front Royal, Virginia; the car looked a mess but the body, tranny, and engine were good so it had made for a great project car. It now resides in Sarasota, Florida, and you'll find it at car shows all over the Tampa Bay area. <p>
It has been fixed up -- not perfect, but a great weekend cruiser. Originally it was Diamond Blue with blue vinyl interior, and it had AM radio with rear speaker, Highway Pilot, fender shields, SelectAire Conditioning, power windows, and spinner hubcaps. It is now Caspian Blue, and has power seats and aftermarket wire wheels. The engine has been rebuilt with RV cam, and has Edelbrock manifold, carb, and air cleaner. The exhaust is straight thru pipes with cherry bombs in back. Radio is stereo conversion with CD changer, clock is quartz conversion, I plan to add keyless entry. Tires are white letter which might anger a few purists, but I like them! My intent is to continue improving it, making it into a very nice cruiser, but I want to keep the appearance somewhat original. I have done the majority of restoration myself.

Dick Rozum spotted RN 13019 at a show in 2003 and he made it part of the Registry at that time: This is a 1964 Thunderbird Hardtop. Its original color was Diamond Blue (N) and it has a blue vinyl interior (52). It was scheduled for production on April 21, 1964 (21D) and it was ordered through the Charlotte, North Carolina District Sales Office (22). It has a 3.00:1 rear axle ratio (1) and Cruise-O-Matic transmission (4). Dick Rozum reports that this Thunderbird was seen at a show in Sarasota, Florida in March, 2003. At that time it was owned by Gary Tayman of Sarasota.
