This is a 1964 Thunderbird Hardtop. It is Prairie Bronze with black cloth and vinyl interior. This car was sold new by the Rozum Motor Company of Mitchell, South Dakota. This Thunderbird is one of the more sparsely-equipped 1964 models, with only $73.20 in optional equipment. Of course, the basics like Cruise-O-Matic, power steering, power brakes, AM radio, seat belts, MagicAire Heater, and Swing Away Steering Wheel were standard, so by no means was RN 328 any "less Thunderbird" than any other car in this Registry. Incidentally, the 1964 Thunderbird was the first car to be produced in North America with front seat belts as standard equipment, before the government mandate took effect, and as you no doubt already know, the 1964 Thunderbird also featured a console-mounted red seat belt reminder light as standard equipment. This car was purchased new by Mr. D. R. McTighe, of 113 East 2nd. Street, Mitchell, on June 8, 1964. He traded in a 1962 Studebaker Lark Daytona 2-door hardtop. On Feburary 5, 1968 this Thunderbird was traded in on a new
1968 Thunderbird Hardtop (RN 4353). The present status of RN 328 is unknown.
