This 1964 Thunderbird Convertible has a 390 V-8 engine, SelectAire Conditioning, power windows, tonneau cover, fender shields and a white soft top. As of December, 2004 it was for sale on ebay and located in Cary, Illinois. As of December 2010 it was for sale on eBay and located in North Chicago, Illinois. UPDATE August 2011, Bud Elliott who lives in Florida notified the Registry that he owns this 1964 Thunderbird (picture update). Bud says: I have owned this Thunderbird since 2011, it has since won many car show awards and has been displayed in many parades and cruise-ins. We choose to display the tonneau cover and wire wheels, two features of the 1963 Sports Roadster.
Our pride in this car made us realize that it needed some maintenance, so, it just completed a 6 month major restoration to include: engine compartment (pulled engine & transmission), new hoses, wiring, gaskets, seals, new radiator, power steering box, new battery, new gas tank, mufflers, front end alignment. The entire underside was steel brushed, painted with original colors and undercoated. It now looks and rides like new. It is a great honor for a car to be awarded for its restoration, originality and maintenance. It resides in a climate controlled garage in Ormond Beach, Florida. (comments updated April 2020)
