Al Jesse says: I purchased this Thunderbird from Lynn Kirby Ford in Portland Oregon in June 1964. It is equipped with roadster tonneau cover installed by dealership. I served 20 years in the US Navy and I left the car in my home town of Hillsboro, Oregon when overseas. At one time in 1975, I transferred the title to my younger brother and when I returned to Hillsboro, he transferred it back to me. The Thunderbird has been in my name and possession since that time. The Thunderbird has 97,000 original miles on it and was restored in 2002. The Thunderbird remains as it was manufactured, with the original tonneau cover and the original 390 4v 300hp motor. The convertible top is a bright blue and looks new. It was replaced in 2001. This car gives a ride like no other. I moved the Thunderbird to Bend, Oregon in 1998 and elected to begin a full "frame off" restoration. When completed, I began to show the car on the west coast. It has won many trophies.
