Jaime Jaramillo Jr. says: I am the current owner of this white 1964 Thunderbird Landau. My parents bought the house we are currently living at in 1996. When we inspected the house the T-Bird was located in the garage. The son-in-law of original owner of the house stored the car in the garage in 1984 with the intent of restoring it (He was a Ford enthusiast that also owns a Model A). He stored it because he did not have room at his own house and was willing to sell it for $2000 when my parents looked at the house. He tried to sell it in the paper and to people he knew with no success. The day of the house closing he offered it to my dad and my dad's lawyer for $500 because he did not want to deal with moving it. The lawyer encouraged my dad to buy it for me and finally my dad agreed. I was 16 at the time and very excited to have a classic car.

It was not until this year (2005) did I start restoring it. I want to restore it to its original condition. I already have had the engine, transmission, carburetor, gas tank, etc. restored. The interior is almost mint, the outside needs some work around the rear fender-wells, the rag top needs to be replaced and of course some paint and chrome. For me it is a labor of love to restore this car because it has been a dream of mine since I was 16.
The funny part of the long story is that I sold it to my friend in 2004 and he sold it back to me a year later for the same amount of money I sold it to him for. He knew I was attatched to the car and he parted with it.
I can't wait until it is in perfect condition and restored to its original beauty.
