Tom Kime says: I bought this car in 1991 from an old fellow in Idaho Falls, Idaho in 1991 for $650 and towed it home; with the exception of a couple trim pieces it was complete. It has a custom rebuilt transmission and engine. The engine has been modified to produce 400 HP at 4800 rpm and 472 Ft-lbs of torque @ 2800 rpm , the brakes, with the exception of the brake pedal are new, it has a few new suspension parts - mostly bushings and such.
It has new carpet and reupholstered front seats; the rear seat looks as if no one has ever sat in it. It has a stock AM radio and I added an electronic ignition system to it all parts related to the engine. The radiator, alternator, distributor, voltage regulator, starter cables, hoses, and most wiring has been replaced . I have done much of the work myself. I have about 10k invested and probably that much in hours too LOL. Its driven 1000-2000 miles a year including winter when it's dry. My Thunderbird puts a smile on my face everytime I drive it!
