Mark says: I purchased my '66 convertible in the spring of 1989 for $ 1,500.00. It had been sitting in the prior owner's back yard for a few years after service as a daily driver. It still had snow tires on it when I drove it home. It was stripped to the bare metal and had both quarters replaced, along with the front fenders. The doors are original. The Original color was Code L -Honeydew (Yellow-Green) with Black vinyl interior. It was repainted Springtime Yellow when I got it but had been rusted in the lower quarters and lower front fenders. Thankfully, the trunk and most of the floor were good. - -
It is now 1988 Lincoln Medium Current Red Metallic Clearcoat (Similar to Vintage Burgundy) with Black leather and an addition of the reclining passenger seat, - - - The car came with A/C, power windows, power locks and courtesy warning panel. and deluxe wheelcovers. The Thunderbird wire wheels have been added. - - - - The car was driven regularly from 1991 following completion of the body and paint until 2010. Driven occasionally since then.
