Dave F. says: I finally convinced my father to let me register it. Here we go, my father bought this car in September of 1966 from Courtesy Ford in Wilmington, Delaware. Factory options are power windows to include power vents, AM-FM radio, power drivers seat, power antenna. The mileage is 69,112. It was taken off the road in 1981. It has always been garage kept from the day he bought it. This car is a true time capsule. There is no rust on this car. Everything is original to include the paint. He still has the warranty card, the window sticker and the copy of the bank loan he signed to purchase the car. That car is the reason I love Thunderbirds so much. When I bought my '66 in '85 he could not beleive it. He laughed and said I dont think there are too many fathers and sons that have both have 1966 Thunderbird Convertibles. I truly beleive his car is one of the most original 1966 Thunderbirds left in this world. He drives it once a year to get it inspected other wise he just starts it and backs it out of the garage. The photo I am sending you is my father in 1967 and the car is in the background. Also as for my recent purchase of RN 40000 i am still trying to document that car. I am so proud of my fathers Thunderbird and I thank you for takeing the time to post this.
