Peter Hickey says: This Thunderbird was a special order vehicle by Fergus Ford of Skokie, Illinois for "Vogue Tyre Company" of Chicago for the use of an Executive named Ralph Glenn, whose name is engraved on the Brass Plate on the dashboard. The car is Sauterne Gold (a very light Olive Green) with matching interior and a White Convertible Top. This Thunderbird Convertible was manufactured on June 2, 1966 and is estimated to be approximately the 30th. vehicle before the end of Thunderbird Convertible production based on Ford Documentation I have been able to obtain. The car was later purchased by Mr. Glenn personally, and shipped to his winter home in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. He sold it March 11, 1987 to Albert Schwarzler of Ft. Lauderdale with 74,260 original miles, who later sold it to John Lincks of Nokomis, Florida. I purchased the car from Mr. Lincks on March 22, 2001 with 76,231 miles. Mr. Lincks was a man in his late 60's, who did a frame off restoration of the vehicle himself, and restored the car to exact Ford Specifications. This vehicle is the Finest 1966 Thunderbird I have ever seen, and I have literally seen hundreds. The car currently resides in Boca Raton, Florida and has 78,330 miles. Here is a synopsis of its equipment and price:
