This 1966 Thunderbird Town Landau has AM radio with StereoSonic Tape System, SelectAire Conditioner, power windows and vent windows, and power driver's seat. It has a parchment and palomino vinyl interior. It was for sale in Hickory, North Carolina. The seller states it has a black California license plate. UPDATE March 2019, Shane Ion notified the Registry that he owns this Thunderbird. He says: I purchased this Thunderbird in June, 2012 from Louis Wetmore of North Carolina, after which it was shipped to Adelaide, Australia, my place of residence. After a six-year lay-up during which the car was tidied up and extensive preventative maintenance was carried out, my Thunderbird was registered in original LHD configuration. In most States in Australia, historic vehicles which are 30 years or older can be legally registered for limited use on public roads when one is a member of an approved car club which has the necessary relationship with the local transport authority.
The car has not yet reached 50,000 miles which, to the best of my knowledge, is authentic. It is now in 9/10 condition, close to show car status in the USA, and I am continuing to enhance the vehicle until it reaches a 10/10.
