David Kolodny says: I have a 1966 Thunderbird Town Landau. Here are some facts about it:
Color: Porsche Red exterior (original was Metallic Midnight Turquoise); Tan vinyl top; Custom red & tan seats and panels, tan dashboard with all interior metal seat trim dyed a matching tan.Engine: Original 428 Q-code engine with a Edelbrock 600 Holley carburetor and a comp cam. The engine has been bored out, new pistons, and a midrise Edelbrook manifold. Equipment: Automatic transmission; Air conditioning; Power steering; Power brakes; Power windows and window vents. AM/FM/CD Top: The original white vinyl top was removed down to bare metal and correctly primed and replaced with a tan (saddle color) vinyl top. The tan was chosen over the all too-often used white vinyl on red vehicles.Interior: The interior was completely removed and all metal was stripped and then coated it a Zinc based rust preventative. The custom interior is red and tan. A red carpet and tan headliner was installed. The door panels are in matching vinyl colors and all appropriate metal seat panels have been painted a matching tan. The sun visors and dash are also tan. The interior chrome is all original and has been polished. Engine compartment: The engine compartment has been carefully detailed and is painted in Porsche red. All new belts and hosed, brake lines and fuel lines installed. Trunk compartment: The sheet metal has been replaced and primed in Zinc. The compartment has is completely carpeted in red and tan. Undercarriage: The dual muffler/exhaust system has been replaced. The mufflers are FlowMasters.
