James Holt says: I bought this Thunderbird from the previous owner in San Mateo for $1,600. The previous owner had the engine rebuilt and new paint job to the original color, all body work done. Unfortunately he let it sit for a while and it needed to be completely cleaned out. Over the past few months I cleaned out the engine compartment, fixed the brakes, put in a new starter, refinished the top, adjusted the carb/accelerator, went through the sequential blinkers, etc... It is now running and registered and driving around Sonoma County, and I will be continuing to restore it as money permits. The VIN says the car was built in Michigan, sold in the Atlanta Ordering District and I know that the previous owner bought it in South Carolina, moved it to Texas with him, and then to San Mateo, where I bought it - in the North Bay.=====Arthur Ash III registered this car on August 26, 2005: This 1966 Thunderbird Town Landau has 390 V-8 engine and a white vinyl roof. As of August, 2005 it was for sale for $3,500 and located in San Mateo, California.
