This 1966 Thunderbird Town Landau was recently sold at Art's Auto Mart, Inc., 513 Duntov Way, Bowling Green, Kentucky. It has SelectAire Conditioner and does not have power seat or power windows. UPDATE June 2017, Jim Mullkey notified the Registry that he owns this Thunderbird. He says: It is intact and is now a daily driver. Original 390 unaltered, appears to still have the original A/C compressor (still working still ice cold). Original upholstery and top, one repaint in original color date unknown. Recent new carpet and headliner, balance of interior appears original. Upgraded electronic radio (no dash modifications). Undercarriage original with new suspension and steering components. All original glass no flaws, all original chrome with expected minor pitting. Absolutely everything works and is considered a go anywhere car. Current true mileage 93,185. I plan to buy enough side by side cemetery plots to accommodate the car when its our time to go. UPDATE June 2021, it is for sale in Whiteface, Texas. - - - - - - UPDATE July 2023, Lee Arning notified the Registry that he owns this car. He says I purchased this car on 01-28-2023 from Automax Hyundai, Norman OK, with current mileage of 98,526. According to the dealership, the Thunderbird was traded in by the previous owner (unknown name) for a Hyundai Palisade that his wife wanted. This previous owner must have bought the Thunderbird from Jim Mullkey, listed here as the owner who registered the car here. He subsequently put the car up for sale in 2021.
The 390 has been rebuilt subsequent to that 2021 sale. After purchasing the car, I put it in the shop to have the HVAC fixed; that process has not yet been completed. The car is part of a private, 5-car collection in Dallas and is driven regularly.
