Charles Sentner says: My 1966 Thunderbird Town Landau has been getting a ground-up restoration taking aproximately 8 years, part time. It was a national first place senior A.A.C.A. Hershey in 1998 with a score of 399.
My partner in the car has since sold me his half interest. Now I drive the car to some shows.I have added radials and wire wheels but have the show red lines and hub caps.I have the original gate releases from Ford. Two gate releases were prepared to reflect the fact that the leather interior, normally a $103.95 option, was added to the final cars made for 1966 at no charge. I also have the build (R.O.T.) sheet. The Bird was built the last day of production for 1966 model year. I have not seen a higher VIN 1966 Town Landau.
