She was purchased on July 2, 2002 for my birthday of July 14. We bought her from a friend, who had had her for just over one year. We actually fell in love with her before our friend bought her. She was also given as a birthday present, then. The major difference now is she is driven at least twice a week. She is at a good spot to start restoring her. We are focusing on the engine first, exhaust, and suspension (want to keep her on the road), then go to things such as power windows and finally cosmetics. We want to keep we as much as original as possible, but I must admit she would sound great with a newer sound system. We have put over 600 miles on her since purchase and have driving her to Danville, VA for Greensboro, NC (about 1.25 hours) 4 times so far. She rides as the brochure describes 'This bird flies with impressive quiet.'
