Kenny Johnson says: My favorite uncle had a 1967 Thunderbird when I was a child 5 years old. Going from chicago to southern Arkansas to visit has a lot of good memories. I had a stepmother who was very mean and abusive. I don't remember a lot of love. but when I would go and visit my aunt and uncle (who could not have children) they showed a lot of love as if I was their own child it felt really good. they would take me for long rides out in the country they would put me up on the window sill and you would smell the pine smell in the air. They would laugh so hard watching me have a good time. I realized back then how much I loved them! I take my children to visit them and I see them love my son like they loved me. This Thunderbird which I am restoring brings me back to a place in my mind and heart that I will never forget. my uncle loved that car and when i told him I was restoring. all he could say was when you get her done drive her down he really wanted too see it. This project is slow very slow. but I will stay with it with the hope I will make it before he passes on I know I am 41 now. But I would love to take another ride in the country with him, my aunt, and my son.
