John Nichols says: This car, "Thunderhog", is Wimbledon White (M) with a black vinyl interior (2AB). It has a 429 cubic inch, 360 horsepower V-8. It has the C-6 automatic transmission (U) and a 2.80 to 1 rear axle (3). It has the original AM-FM radio. It has the optional spinner hubcaps and has been modified with a chromed engine, custom
pinstriping, neon undercar lights, lake pipes, and lowered 2 inches. It is soon to have a set of Crager SS wheels. <
A little about the "kids" in front of the car. My nephews used to call this car "Thunderchicken". I said that it is "Thunderhog" and the name stuck. My girlfriend, Jean, said we should have a mascot and we found the pigs at Wal-Mart. She dressed them and we gave them names. He is "Thunderhog" and she is "Minnie Pig" Also, you will note that on the battery is a turntable with a Am radio model of the car in Wimbledon White, a dealer give-a-way from 1968.
This Thunderbird resides in Terre Haute, Indiana.
