Andrew and Kim Sommers say: This 1968 Thunderbird was purchased in June, 2003. It has a very good body and excellent interior. The car is currently undergoing a major restoration due to a frame that was in poor condition (somebody actually tried to weld tin to it to cover up huge rust holes if you can believe) The frame, exhaust, tires, front brakes, suspension, steering, waterpump and ignition are being replaced. This car was scheduled for production on January 3, 1968 and it was actually built at the Wixom assembly plant on January 4, 1968. It is painted Highland Green (R). The interior has black bucket seats, power windows and deluxe seat belts. Power of course is the 429 Thunderjet now with electronic ignition.
