Steve Tanner says: My 1968 Thunderbird 2-door Landau was sold by a local dealership [A. E. Fowles on Almon Street in Halifax] just across the harbor from here (Dartmouth, NS) and after it being in heated storage for 28 years by the son of original owner after given to him, it was sold three times within 1 year. The first time it was flipped for some cash,the second time it was sold because of owner's wife interference (she didn't like smell of fumes lol). Then I came along, myself and a friend took apart the front end and over a 3 month period we cleaned,painted,powdercoated and chromed different items. It was taken to a shop for some paint and eventual wetsand/cut/polish. A set of American Torq Thrust II's and 17x235x45 tires installed. The interior, alligator-grain vinyl roof, and engine are all original, only the finish and wheels and a set of headers on 429, which everyone says couldn't be done, differ from day one!
