I purchased this 1968 Thunderbird 4-door Landau on ebay from the owner in Chico, California in November 2003. It was shipped up to BC in January 2004 and unfortunately wasn't in as good condition as I was lead to believe: the dash was cracked, the interior (bench) seats were split, the door panels were off and in broken pieces, electrical/vacuum systems in poor shape, there was a hole drilled in the trunk where a CB antenna was and there was nothing past the mufflers (one of which was dragging), ie no tailpipes. All that aside, I was pleased at the body shape and general look of the car, so I have been trying to fix it up ever since, as it is my first Thunderbird. I have replaced the mufflers and added new tailpipes with chrome tips, removed the door panels for cleaning and taken it out for a few joyrides. Transmission needs a look-see, as it will not shift out of 2nd. I am always looking for parts to fix it up (especially the drivers' side arm rest, which appear to be as rare as hen's teeth).<p> This Thunderbird entered the Registry on October 9, 2003: This is a 1968 Thunderbird 4-door Landau. It is Meadowlark Yellow (W) with a white vinyl roof and a saddle vinyl bucket seat interior (2F). It has power windows, tinted glass, power seat, and SelectAire Conditioner. As of October, 2003 it was in Chico, California.
