Charles Grippaldi says: My 1972 Thunderbird was purchased in Pennsylvania at a Ford showroom in July of 1998. My father and I went to buy a new car and we left with the '72. Evidently a elderly gentleman sold the 1972 Thunderbird and his 1990 Lincoln Towncar to the dealer that he dealt with for 25 years because he was moving to Florida to live with his daughter after his wife died. It was, and still is, in showroom condition. It had 26,000 miles on it then, and now, in 2006, the speedometer just turned 30,000. It has had no work done to it, except maintenance. It has a white exterior with a blue alligator vinyl top. The interior is dark blue with bucket seats with a console. All standard and optional features are still working, except the clock. The engine runs excellent but needs a little detailing. The air conditioner still blows cold. It is truly a beautiful car! UPDATE September 2017, New York State DMV registration is current.
